Timed to coincide with the first superyacht arrivals on Ibiza the Atzaro Group are unveiling their very latest Ibiza relaunch.
The ever popular beach club restaurant Atzaro Beach (situated on the sparkling shores of Cala Nova in Ibiza’s popular North-East), has been revamped this season with an extensive interior and exterior refurbishment.
2019 promises to be a special year for The Atzaro Group in Ibiza. This year marks the 15-year anniversary of the authentic agroturisimo hotel with its own award-winning spa.
Family owned
Atzaro was formerly a generations-old working orange farm It is situated on a lush 13-hectare estate owned by the Guasch family. Today the same family are the hotel’s proud owners.
The family has gone from strength to strength recently. They expanded into Indonesia launching the superyacht, Prana by Atzaro. This a traditionally styled luxurious Phinisi, is available for charter in both the Komodo Islands and Raja Ampat.
To celebrate their very special 15th birthday, the hotel will be launching The Vegetable Garden. It is going to be the first of its kind in Ibiza. The owners are planning a magnificent landscaped three-hectare ornamental vegetable, fruit and herb garden. As well as that they are planning to use it to host some lavish and exciting celebratory events.
Spearheaded by Atzaro Design, the group’s in-house interiors team, the new Atzaro Beach is paired back and low key. It features a super-relaxed authentic mood reminiscent of the 1970s boho-deluxe Balearic-style.
New look
The new look is designed to work well with the environment. It combines natural woods and terracotta pots with an abundance of local plants and palms. The colour palette is soft neutral sand tones with pops of vibrant aquamarine to compliment the spectacular crystal-clear waters of the sea.
Quirky rattan cacti frame the tables, and a rustic wood pergola provides the shade for those long summer days. Hanging rattan lights add some low-key atmosphere to balmy nights.
Gone are all the formal tables, and in comes a mix of sofas, stools, tables and chairs with hanging bamboo swing seats as well as rattan peacock armchairs. An Ibizan wooden fishing boat provides extra seating area with cushions to create a casual and relaxed feeling,
The restaurant at Atzaro Beach has a new concept too, with this year’s emphasis on paired back, simple natural dishes. The new menus are full of healthy, vegetarian, light salads, paella, seafood and more, using locally sourced ingredients with a wholesome, rustic style. Sharing and grazing plates are many and visitors can mix and match their choices in relaxed style, whilst enjoying the day on the comfortable daybeds or sofas beachside.
Next door is the pretty little Atzaro Chiringuito, a more paired back beach bar on beautiful Cala Nova beach.
Aubergine Restaurant now open until October
Aubergine restaurant is owned by the Atzaro Group and is one of Ibiza’s best-loved authentic healthy-eating restaurants, with a farm to fork concept. Described last year by ES Magazine as ‘The hottest restaurant in Ibiza’, it is a pretty garden restaurant within a restored finca set deep in the heart of the Ibiza countryside.
Everything that is served on the menu is seasonal and local, grown in the gardens of the restaurant or on the Atzaro Estate. For 2019 the food is rustic, fresh, healthy, with a look of quality and full of delicious vegan and vegetarian dishes. Try the Buddha Bowl or the signature Aubergine Parmigiana – the best on the island – or the beautifully fresh Kale salad or the Borek spinach and feta pastry. Wines are organic, biodynamic and local or the freshly made juices are many. All the drinking water is collected by Osmosis and Aubergine has firm anti-plastics environmental policies in place.
Restored Finca
The building is a charming restored finca that contains five indoor dining rooms and three outdoor terraces dotted with romantic lighting. Perfect for lunch in the beautiful gardens during the day, or destination dining for dinner under twinkling evening lighting at night. The dining rooms, terraces and bars are decorated with rustic white plastered walls, sabina and olive beamed ceilings and accessorised with a pastel olive green hue and brought to life with historical photographs and antiques. Aubergine can also be booked for events or weddings.
