Ken Freivokh Unveils new 77m for Turquoise Yachts
Turquoise Yachts the Turkish based shipyard under the same ownership as the Dutch Oceanco shipyard has commissioned Ken Freivokh Design to create a new 77 metre project.
Project Quantum is based on the 77-metre platform that has already been used by the shipyard but says the builder this one will have exterior and interior design exhibiting many original characteristics.
Perhaps the most exciting and unique feature is the offering of two swimming pools —salt water and fresh water— one above the other on the lower and main decks. A drive-in tender bay on the lower deck at the stern doubles as a saltwater pool within the beach club, allowing guests direct sea access.
The seven-metre long fresh water pool on the main deck is largely positioned over the float-in lower deck pool and is designed with a hexagonal shaped glass grid, that allows sunlight to shine down into the beach club below.
Besides the aesthetics the light affords, there is a practical aspect whereby you can also board or disembark from the tender undercover.
In addition to the ‘drive-in’ garage, there is a starboard garage amidships which can house a large limousine tender, a 10-metre beach landing tender and either a six-metre water sports tender or a selection of jetskis.
The Lower Deck beach club and gymnasium have opening terraces port and starboard as well as aft and are accessible internally from the main saloon as well as externally via the stern platform.
The Main Deck saloon offers a vast open space with a rotating seating group, which can be arranged as a cinema- viewing facility. The formal dining room forward is capable of hosting a banquet for all fourteen guests.
Guests have prime quarters forward on the Main Deck in six double or twin staterooms. Two of the staterooms can be totally opened to the adjoining space to create a spacious VIP suite, each with a private saloon and access to his- and- hers bathrooms. The central atrium is the piece de resistance of yacht, spanning three decks, where transparent floor sections add to the feeling of total integration between decks, and provide access to the central lift, which serves four decks.
On the Upper Deck, the owners’ have their own exclusive accommodations inclusive of a semi-circular family saloon opening to a panoramic terrace overlooking the pool area and the sea. The owners’ quarters include a pantry, nanny cabin and a private saloon/office, which opens directly to the atrium, with a balcony overlooking the amazing double height space. The master stateroom enjoys 180- degree panoramic views forward and to the sides, with outdoor access to forward seating and a private Jacuzzi adjoining the wide touch-and-go helipad.
The Bridge Deck, with its semi-circular bridge houses a bank of touchscreen monitors to control the yacht and provides a comfortable guest ‘perch’ for passengers to enjoy the experience of watching those who navigate.
The slightly flared bow and swoop of the hull is both timelessly classic, sporty, and modern.
