Talk about squaring the circle, the yacht broker handling the sale of the 43.59 metre Starship is none other than Mark Elliott who once served as the yachts Captain.
IYC is co-listing the yacht built by Dutch yard Van Mill in 1988 with Chamberlain Yachts and together they have the yacht for sale at US $5,950,000
Because he knows her so well, buyers will be able to benefit from Mark’s unrivalled knowledge of this beautiful vessel.
“I had the great honour of naming Starship (ex Almaviva), building the helicopter pad and turning her into a great charter yacht,” says Mark. “Having spent over three years on board visiting incredible locations in the Bahamas, Caribbean and New England, flying the helicopter off Starship and being her captain was one of the highlights of my life!”
With a proven charter history and layout that is perfectly suited to charter groups, Starship represents an excellent investment for owners seeking a yacht that can command a busy charter schedule. Having undergone a huge $14 million refit in 2006, which included a full new interior and all-new systems, Starship has been maintained with huge attention to detail and the care of a passionate crew.
Other work has included new Quantum Zero-Speed stabilisers in 2010, a $2 million refit that included an exterior paint job and interior refresh in 2015, and most recently a $300,000 maintenance program in 2017.
