Superyacht Creation Behind the Scenes

ICE Yachts, the brand name used for a new range of explorer vessels being built in Turkey by AES Yacht, has released a video showing behind the scenes footage of the construction of the new 68 metre long Day’s

Construction of the new superyacht is, the yard says, “Proceeding according to plan and on schedule with her delivery date set for the end of 2018.”

The behind the scenes video tries to blend images of near naked female forms in a shower with shots of a large yacht under construction.

As a promotional video it fails to highlight the yacht’s apartment-like feel created by the use of large continuous full-height windows all around.

The yacht has five decks, with an overall length of 68m and a beam of 13m. The internal volumes are impressive, at more than 1,800 GRT.

Interior headroom on the main and upper decks reaches 2.7 meters.

The interior spaces are characterized by a minimalistic design with an elegant and warm feeling due to the use of refined materials where natural lighting is the main element.

When completed the yacht will have interior spaces are characterised by a minimalistic design with an elegant and warm feeling due to the use of refined materials where natural lighting is the main element.

Two large tenders will be housed in the lower deck garage, while a helipad is located forward on the bridge deck.

The beach club with shower and head will be on the lower deck with a large pool at the entrance to the main deck.

The yard and designer paid special attention to the owner’s privacy, developing private and direct access to the sky-lounge business meeting room straight from the tender’s berth.

The owner will, we are told, use the yacht both for leisure and business and the design layout has taking this into consideration.
