The Dutch yacht builder Amels is best known for the fact that it churns out semi production yachts in fairly quick succession.
The standardised system seems to work well for the shipyard which is ultimately owned by Damen the family owned commercial ship building business.
So it is interesting to note that at the Monaco Yacht Show the company concluded a contract to build a a 78-metre fully customised yacht desinged by Espen Øino.
While many details of the project are under wraps, the yacht’s approximately 2,850gt will when it is delivered in 2021, make it the largest constructed at the yard so far.
Espen Øino, who developed the exterior design and General Arrangement plan together with the owner, will be working with the yard for the very first time.
The owner has selected the Italian Zuretti Interior Design team to create the interiors.
