UK boat builder Fairline Yachts, has scooped up the highly coveted Best Exterior Design in the 50-80ft yachts category at the World Yachts Trophies for its Targa 63 GTO.
Launched at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival, the Targa 63 GTO is the first boat designed completely by Albert Mancini – who also won Designer of the Year.
Winning at the annual ‘Oscars’ of the yachting industry was the culmination of the brand’s collaboration with world-renowned superyacht designer, Alberto Mancini.
The Targa 63 GTO features the combination of Mancini’s Italian styling, the rigorously proven naval architecture by te Dutch firm Vripack and the made in Great Britain quality of Fairline’s passionate and skilled craftsmen.
Judges commended the builder, praising the quality, craftsmanship and collaborative work that went into creating the new yacht.
The World Yachts Trophies are one of the world’s most prestigious award ceremonies in the luxury motor yacht industry, with the honours attributed to only the finest boats and builders of the last 12 months.
