UK based ship repairers Burgess Marine has successfully re launched the 55m Superyacht, Lady A, from its ship lift facility at Trafalgar Wharf in Portchester, near Portsmouth following a 10 month refit.
The package of works included minor structural, mechanical and electrical modifications, and the installation of new Naiad stabilisers.
The refit will also include modifications and improvements to both the interior and exterior styling, and a new external paint scheme.
Now owned by Lord Sugar, Lady A was constructed in 1986 to interior and exterior designs by Jon Bannenberg, the yacht is 55m LOA, with an 11.8m beam and a 4m draught. She has in the past carried the names: Southern Cross III, Emihar Chios and Indian Princess.
The vessel will complete its commissioning in Southampton and then head to the Mediterranean for the summer season.
With workshops and offices in Lowestoft, Dover, Portsmouth, Portchester, Southampton, Marchwood, Poole, Avonmouth, Devonport, and within STP Palma, Burgess Marine is increasing its workload refitting superyachts alongside its commercial shipping repair business.
