Quinta Essentia the first of the Admiral 55 metre series has been launched at Marina di Carrara a shipyard within The Italian Sea Group
The hybrid yacht was built for a very experienced sailor, who has owned many yachts in the past.
Her advanced hybrid propulsion system integrates two diesel engines with two electric motors and variable speed generators. Either or both can be connected to the yachts two shafts. The result the builders say will “Guarantee the most silent, safest and incredibly efficient navigation on board”.
To date she is the biggest yacht ever built by Admiral Yachts, but that will change when the 75 m currently under construction at the shipyard in Marina di Carrara is launched in 2018.
The Italian Sea Group managed by entrepreneur Giovanni Costantino, operates several brands including; Admiral, Admiral Sail and Tecnomar.
The shipyard covers an area of 100,000 sqm and features facilities that include 11 sheds, 2,000 m docks, 200 m drydock, and a total lifting capacity of 1,000 tons.
