Crew working on superyachts often find themselves with pockets full of useless banknotes and coins after making runs ashore in countries they will not visit again so here is an easy and quick solution to make this ‘worthless’ currency useful again.
Suggesting that the average UK household has £110.45 in leftover foreign currency lying around at home, Fourex the world money exchange company has launched what it calls Money Exchange on Steroids
The company is now able to accept unsorted coins and notes (in and out of circulation) from over 150 currencies and convert them into useable cash.
The idea has now been launched into three locations across London
- Blackfriars Underground Station
- Kings Cross Underground Station
- Westfield Stratford Shopping Centre
Offering a complete world first to the global market the idea is simple yet genius.
Fourex kiosks are able to accept unsorted coins and notes (that are both in and out of circulation) from over 150 currencies, at the same time, and convert their value into GBP British Pounds, Euros, or American Dollars.
Customers also have the option of donating part or all of their exchange to one of Fourex’s charity partners when they visit a kiosk. These include
- Guide Dogs for the Blind Association
- UK Stroke Association
- Railway Children
- London Transport Museum
- Eltenor
- UNICEF
Unlike many other facilities these kiosks are able to accept even the smallest denominations, and there are no hidden fees or commissions.
This fills the huge gap in the market for the leftover coins and notes found in wallets and purses after holidays that no big company is willing to take.
