Arcadia Yachts used the Fort Lauderdale Boat show to confirm to the press the fact that they are entering a slightly smaller sector of yachts with the new entry level model.
The all new Arcadia Sherpa is a 58ft-compact and eco-friendly yacht a new project.
Hull #01 is being built on spec and will make her official debut in Dusseldorf Boot 2016.
Built to an Open Deck superstructure she will have a two cabin internal layout.
The yacht will be built for Mediterranean cruising which, the company confirmed, is actually the most requested configuration to date.
Lamination started in August 2015 and ended late in September 2015.
Launch of the first Arcadia Sherpa unit is scheduled to take place in Italy on December 15th.
She will be moved out of the shed to be prepared for launch.
Her first “on the water experience” will only be after onshore testing, sea trials and all the necessary Class Endurance runs have been carried out in Arcadia’s facilities.
She will leave Naples and start cruising towards the Tyrrhenian Sea (Genoa) immediately after the launch.
There she will load onto a vessel bound for Rotterdam, scheduled for the second half of December 2015.
Sherpa will then navigate the Rhine and will be lifted andplaced onto cradle prior to being displayed in Hall N°6 at Dusseldorf Boot 2016 for exhibition and official presentation to clients, brokerage community, industry and international media.
Lamination of Sherpa hull #2 started in September 2015 and is scheduled to be completed within first decade of December 2015.
Launch is scheduled for March 2016. At this time there are several serious negotiations on this unit from different countries.
