In much the same way as lapsed Christians suddenly find the faith and become born again so suddenly has Camper & Nicholsons announced the rebirth of its corporate potential.
At a Press Conference at the Monaco Yacht Show Gualtiero Giori whose 1782 Group now owns the controlling interest in the group mapped out a new growth programme that will span 4 new divisions spanning Refit, Repair, Financial Services Property and Insurance.
The refit and repair division calls into play the Fincantieri shipyards in Genoa and Trieste and comes about now that the Italian state owned ship builder has acquired a 15% holding in Camper & Nicholsons.
The property, financial services and insurance divisions are all equally new and plan to harvest on the client list already established by the brokerage arms of CNI.
None of this would have been possible had not Giori persuaded Nick Maris of Camper & Nicholsons Design to part with the brand name and said Giori, “Was a vital link to the company’s continued capital potential.”
