The owners of the 46m Palmer Johnson superyacht Vantage, have acquired the 50m firefighting and fast crew support vessel EDT Nefeli and plan to convert her into a shadow boat.
The multimillion-dollar refit said to include a new storage garage on deck and tender crane will see the vessel lengthened to emerge as the superyacht support vessel Ad-Vantage.
The conversion project is taking place at Oceania Marine in Whangarei, New Zealand. It was at this yard that Vantage, the Palmer Johnson was refitted recently.
The shipyard is no stranger to completing conversion works. It recently completed the transformation of another Damen-built sister ship to become Umbra, a yacht that came into the news when she went to the aid communities devastated by hurricane which all but destroyed the island of Vanuatu in the South Pacific
