The Perini Navi Group uses the word family a great deal in their publicity and their dealings with those who own and sail in the yachts they build.
They have every reason to do so, because everything they do embraces both the word and the concept that is family. From the guys who cut the sheet metal in the yard to those who own the splendid yachts everyone is considered to be part of the family group.
Every two years they throw a huge family party full of on-the-water sailing action accompanied by a glamorous program of post-race events. This unique combination of competitive racing, social activities enshrines the true sense of family and is the secret formula of the Perini Navi Cup.
The regatta exclusively dedicated to Perini Navi vessels will take place this year from the 2nd to the 5th of September in Porto Cervo.
It will as usual be hosted by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda.
Inaugurated in 2004 as a family gathering for owners and friends, the Perini Navi Cup has become one of the highlights of the international regatta calendar. Among so many successful sailing events the Perini Navi Cup maintains its uniqueness as an extraordinary gathering of a fleet of vessels specific to one builder only.
For a few intense action packed days upto 15 Perini Navi yachts will challenge each other in the emerald waters of North – East Sardinia following the new ORC SY handicapping Rule with a full race program organised by the YCCS international race committee.
Pre-registrations include the the super sloop Perseus^3 and the ketch Seahawk representing the newly developed 60m series.
They will be joined by vessels such as:

Finally, The Maltese Falcon, the 88m clipper and perhaps the most iconic sailing yacht in the world will participate as usual this year but on this occasion she will be under charter to a Chinese client eager to attend the family event.

Heading up the family, Fabio and Milena Perini will share with the participants a project known as the Andrea Bocelli Foundation, the charity created by their dear friends Andrea and Veronica Bocelli.
This project provides full medical care for over 1000 children in Haiti.
