Sailing aboard Ibra we called in at the Marina at the Shangri-La’s Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa.
The resort offers tourists three distinctly different hotels in which to stay and a luxury spa for relaxation.
Superyachts can anchor off the resort and guests may come ashore to the marina and use the hotel facilities.
The private marina features berthing for up to 80 boats and yachts and is the ideal base from which to explore the Omani coast.
The marina is anchored with powerful sea-flex shock absorbers and boasts 58 full-service berths for yachts that are up to 25 metres long with a maximum draught of 5 metres.
It is home to a well equipped dive shop and there are boats that offer the chance to participate in a variety of sea sports to capitalise on the resort’s location by the Sea of Oman.
Dolphin watching and snorkelling trips are offered daily. Both novice and experienced divers can benefit from the dive excursions and scuba diving courses.
