Marine industry website GCaptain is reporting that just months after the launching of Ulysses in Norway the yachts New Zealand owner has commissioned a second yacht from Kleven Verft the same yard in Ulsteinvik, Norway
Kleven Verft report the new as yet unnamed yacht will be 117 metres overall which is 10 meters longer than the 107 metre Ulysses.
The new yacgt is according to reports designed by Norwegian naval architecture firm Marin Teknikk in co-operation with Kyle Dick of New Zealand-based Oscar Mike Naval Architects.
Powered by diesel electric propulsion systems, the second yacht is expected to be equipped with a helicopter deck and hangar for helicopter.
“There will be arranged space for and deployment procedures for five large boats that can be carried on for different excursions. In addition, there will be a hangar for several smaller boats and equipment for water sports.”
Designed to carry 66 crew and guests, the second yacht is scheduled for delivery in July 2016 just eleven months after Ulysses is expected to be handed over
