Equanimity the first superyacht expressly designed and built to be fully Passenger Yacht Code (PYC) compliant to accommodate 26 guests has received a double helping of awards.
Built by Oceanco in Holland the 91.5m Equanimity has been honoured with two award distinctions in two weeks winning both the Best ‘Yacht of the Year’ and ‘Best Yacht in Show’
She scooped up the prestigious award for “Best Yacht of the Year over 82m” at the 2014 World Yacht Trophies. The exclusive awards ceremony organised by LuxMedia Group took place in Cannes at the Carlton Beach Hotel and featured a gala dinner followed by the awards presentation and a spectacular night time parade of yachts cruising along the shoreline.
Two weeks later at the Monaco Yacht Show held in late September she picked up award for “The Finest New Yacht of the 2014 Monaco Yacht Show”— the Best in Show! The award ceremony took place at the Yacht Club of Monaco. The director of the Monaco Yacht Show presented the yacht builder with the award at the show’s opening cocktail reception party attended by industry members, the press and VIP’s.
Oceanco’s in-house design team is responsible for the exterior styling and layout and industry-renowned designer Andrew Winch Designs created the yachts Asian-inspired interior design.
Accommodation spaces on board include a Master suite with lounge, study and private exterior deck area including whirlpool; 3 double VIP suites, 3 double guest cabins, 2 twin guest cabins.
