For 40 years Sunsail has been known for sailing adventures. From the first pioneering flotillas in Greece to today’s choice of the best and lesser known yachting destinations.

Now they are to join the yachting elite at Cowes Week

Cowes Week Limited (CWL), organisers of Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week, has announced that the Sunsail is become their official charter sailing partner for the 2015 and 2016 regattas.

A fleet of matched First 40s will be available to both private individuals and businesses from Sunsail’s regatta base in Cowes Yacht Haven on the Isle of Wight, which includes a dedicated hospitality area for its clients.

Cowes Week is one of the UK’s longest running sporting events, having first taken place in 1826. The aspirational and inclusive sailing regatta is the largest of its kind in the world, attracting between 800 and 1,000 yachts in up to 40 classes.

Around 7,000 competitors race during the week ranging from weekend sailors to World Champions and Olympic medallists.

2014 marked the 50th Anniversary of Cowes Combined Clubs running the 188 year old regatta in a fully co-ordinated way. The event has evolved enormously in that time and looks forward to continuing to serve competitors in the best possible way into the next 50 years and beyond.

The 2015 regatta takes place from 8 – 15 August.
