Gulf Craft Wins World Yacht Trophy for “Shipyard of the Year 2014”

Over the years the UAE based shipyard Gulf Craft has adopted an innovative approach to yacht and boat making that has been praised internationally for its intelligent use of form and function.

That concept was rewarded in Cannes last month, when the compnay picked up a World Yacht Trophy for “Shipyard of the Year 2014.

Notis Menelaou, Sales Manager of Gulf Craft received the award on behalf of the company from Sam Richomme, Group CEO & Publisher of LuxMedia Group, the French publishing group behind the awards – considered amongst the most prestigious accolades in marine circles. The awards ceremony was held in September at the Carlton Hotel at the Cannes Yachting Festival.

The World Yacht Trophies are judged by a panel of experts made up of highly qualified members of the steering committee of the LuxMedia publishing network – publishers of luxury, lifestyle and boating titles such as:

The expert panel was entrusted with the task of selecting and evaluating the yachts and the winners for each category.
