To be published at this years Monaco Yacht Show, the seventh annual edition of The Superyacht Owners’ Guide (SYOG) is a luxury hardback book offering owners and potential owners the education, advice and contacts they need to realise their dream.
It is a tricky book to write. Firstly it has to be relevant to both the existing superyacht owner while, at the same time, it has to entice the new comer into the ownership world. While writing, we must make sure we are never stating the obvious nor should we ever use jargon that cannot be understood by the first time reader.
So this years version of SYOG is more relevant and tailored than ever, providing topical and informative guidance and all the contacts needed for a new-build, refit or repair project, alongside a ‘best practice’ approach to planning, scheduling, managing and delivering the superyacht dream.
In short, SYOG helps navigate a clear path through any project of who, what, where, when and how. When there is a clear vision of what needs to be achieved, it provides all the contact details of the top companies that an owner, project manager, designer or shipyard will need, in every relevant sphere.
Joining us in our pioneering editorial team is, Samantha Wilson, a writer, author and fellow member of the British Guild of Travel Writers. Born to yachting parents Samantha has spent all her life around boats. Our very close friend and colleague Diane M. Byrne, is a leading American superyacht journalist and founder of MegayachtNews.com with whose input our book would be less informative.
Working as a team our editorial focus has been on planning, management, legalities, charter and the operation of large luxury motor and sailing yachts
