As part of V Ships, The Crew Network (TCN) the crew agency division of Fraser Yachts can pull on the vast training resources employed by the commercial ship operator
This may explain how and why the Antibes office of TCN is launching an innovative e-learning course targeted towards superyacht crew, called Introduction to Interior Service.
Dedicated to actively promoting a global standard of excellence through quality training of superyacht crew, it has developed as an online study course.
A team of subject matter experts authored this induction course, drawing on their long-term experience and knowledge from both the luxury yachting and the luxury cruise line sectors.
The “Introduction to Interior Service” e-learning course was developed in partnership with the UK-based training brand, Marlins, specialists in instruction and assessment for the maritime industry, specialising in interactive e-learning content development.
Course content is aimed at interior crew who are new to the superyacht sector, portraying a realistic picture of yachting life and interior duties through a series of modules.
The course covers the following subjects:

The average study time is 7 hours and concludes with a final assessment, enabling individuals to check their knowledge and receive a Certificate of Completion.
The benefit of having an online course is that crew can study at their convenience, anywhere in the world.
Joey Meen of the Professional Yachting Association (PYA) comments ‘As a program it offers a great insight to the level of knowledge required on board for new interior crew. It’s a great modern-day information guide with the added value of fun interactive elements.
