Making its world debut at the Cannes boat show this autumn is an all new Azimut 77S, that is part of the S Collection by Azimut Yachts.
With four boats already sold even before its launch, the boat is setting a new standard for Italian built sport boats.
Perhaps the most striking quality of this new yacht is its streamlined silhouette designed by Stefano Righini.
The furnishings and interiors by Carlo Galeazzi feature polished Zebrano wood and hand-sewn leathers add to functional, light-filled, and spacious quarters. The salon and dining area are an explosion of natural light coming from the large lateral windows, the nearly three-metre wide glazed entry doors, the bow windshield, and most of all from the glazed roof.
The owners cabin is full-beam amidships and is a spatial tour de force. Right forward the VIP cabin is spectacular, as are the two lateral cabins, each with their own bathrooms.
The crew area below decks aft includes two cabins and a bathroom with separate shower, accommodating up to three crew members.
The pivoting stern platform is designed for maximum flexibility, the wave-piercing vertical bow – used by for the first time by Azimut on the yachts smaller sister the 55S is quite dramatic in appearance
Superior performance, and enhanced fuel efficiency can be put down to a three Volvo Penta 900 HP Diesel engine configuration coupled with Volvo Penta IPS transmission for ease of handling and steering.
Capable of more than 36 knots she consumes around 350 litres an hour at the cruising speed of 32 knots.
This new 77S joins the other upcoming offerings this season and they include the Azimut Grande 95RPH and the Azimut 50 Fly also debuting at the September 2014 boat show in Cannes.
