Terry Hines, the Charter Marketing Director at InternationalYacht Collection (IYC), has been named as the Florida Yacht Brokers Association (FYBA) Charter Professional of the Year for 2013.
The award presented during FYBA’s Annual Dinner Gala is based on exacting criteria which includes setting a positive example for industry peers; demonstrating leadership qualities; contributing time and service to improve the industry and association; commitment to professionalism and community service; and, actively participating in seminars, bookings and open houses.
Terry is a native of central Pennsylvania. After working aboard as a stewardess for 18 months, it became clear that the future was working ashore in the yachting industry.
Over the years, she has worked for several other firms including Newport Yacht Services, the Sacks Group C&N, and Fraser Yachts for 10 years prior to joining IYC in 2008.

Throughout her career she has consistently maintained three priorities: prompt response, attention to detail and confidentiality. “Charter marketing is a relationship business. Brokers know that I will keep their client names confidential.”
Terry has a master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh. She is an active member of FYBA and MYBA.
