They must be doing something right because the organisers of the Antibes Yacht Show have announced confidently that they will stage another event next year and expand the format to include brokerage houses and shipyards seeking to exhibit.
Tentatively they have announced that the show will run from April 24th to the 27th in Port Vauban, Antibes.
But they caution that dates may yet still change to avoid clash of dates with other shows and to accommodate yacht professionals and yachts.
If that happens the new dates will be Wednesday 23rd to Saturday 26th of April 2013.
The organisers have undertaken to inform exhibitors by the end of the year if there is a change in the show dates.
Over the years, the show has become the first important exhibition of the season that allows professionals to present their products or services before the summer rush gets under way. The yachts for sale or for charter get their first exposure and during the show earlier this year many yachts exhibited received offers and were subsequently sold.
The Show also offers the first meeting point for crew at the beginning of the season attracting crew from all over the world looking to embark on a yacht for the season.
