In less than a month the curtains will be raised for the 23rd Monaco Yacht Show.
The world’s premier yachting event will take place in and around the prestigious Port Hercules to the backdrop of the grandiose Prince’s Palace, in Monaco Ville, from September 25th to 28th.
The glamorous event, which showcases more than 100 of the most luxurious yachts on the planet, brings together the movers and shakers of the yachting world who flock to the Principality of Monaco for the four day exhibition.
It is one of the busiest weekends in the sovereign state, with many of the industry leaders and super yacht owners arriving in Monaco from Nice by helicopter. It takes just seven minutes to make the short journey from Nice Cote d’Azur airport to Monaco by helicopter, with the Principality’s Heliport in Fontvieille being ideal placed for the port-based show.
Last year, more than 33,000 people descended on the Principality to marvel at the superyachts, the average length of which was 46.7 metres. 40 new builds were also unveiled at the show.
Organisers expect this year to break even more records. Gaelle Tallarida, the show’s managing director, said: “We deliver a social and business networking platform for the world’s top clientele interested in the niche superyacht market.
“The Monaco show remains the place to be whether you’re looking to step onboard this year’s finest superyacht offerings or discover the most innovative and tailor-made products and services that make luxury yachting the ultimate art of life.”
As well as provide a showcase for some of the world’s most exclusive yachts, the event also serves as a platform for 500-plus companies specialized in the yachting industry who provide information on the latest luxury yachting services and high technology nautical products.
Monaco Yacht Show opens its doors this year at 10am on Wednesday September 25th. Day passes for the event will be sold at the entrance to the show for 80 EUR per person. A professional visitor badge is also available giving a four-day access to the show.
