Reflecting the era of classic yacht sailing and inspired by sloop rigged J-Class Rob Humphreys designed the Tempus Class.
Tempus Fugitthe first of the series has just been launched by Arkin Pruva Yachts in Antalya Turkey. The 27 metre yachts has been built by a team of highly skilled professionals using could moulded wood/ epoxy.
She combines the tradition of craftsmanship with today’s high end technology, and is imbued with 40 years of the Humphreys Design pedigree.
Her clean hull lines and appendages are carefully optimised through the use of modern CFD techniques, giving her an excellent turn of speed on the regatta circuit as well as exquisite balance and handling characteristics for the helmsman.
Her double deckhouse layout offers the lounge area, open plan galley and guest cabins forward and leaves the master suite in the after end. The galley and all bathrooms are fitted out in lavish marble and sumptuously fashioned solid timber panels are used generously throughout.
After the completion of sea trials the will set sail on her maiden voyage to the Western Mediterranean for the end of season regattas in Cannes and St. Tropez and we will review her then for some of the better nautical publications
