Two of the luxury vessels are in build at Proteksan-Turquoisein Turkey, with another two under construction at Tankoa Yachts in Italy. The fifth is in progress at McMullen & Wing in New Zealand. At Proteksan-Turquoise the dramatically styled NB 55 is a 76 metre Andrew Winch design is priced at EUR 57,500,000. With the hull already completed, her buyer can enjoy a close involvement in determining the yacht’s specifications, layouts, interior design and potentially also the exterior styling, such as opting for an explorer style version with helicopter hangar.
Versatile options can also be entertained for the vessel’s interior configuration including a large multi-functional living space on the bridge deck, which leads out to a unique indoor/outdoor gym and exercise terrace. Guest accommodation has currently been conceived for up to 16 guests in 8 suites including a spectacular master suite on the upper deck with private forward-facing balcony and terrace. Design features incorporate seven guest cabins, a gymnasium, beach club, garages for large tenders and a 5 person elevator. NB 57 is MCA LY3 compliant, with top speed capabilities of 16 knots and delivery time is 36 months.
The Tankoa Yachts shipyard in Genoa has a 65 metre super yacht currently 50% complete with the possibility of a 2014 delivery, assuming adherence to the current specification and design. Her sister ship, the Tankoa S70 offers a potential delivery timeline of summer 2015. Both vessels can be modified to a length overall of 70-72 metres and represent an unbeatable incentive in the new build market at now significantly reduced asking prices of EUR 42,000,000 for the S65 and EUR 45,000,000 for the S70.
Inspired by the 45 metre expedition yacht Big Fish, her 50 metre sister ship Big Star was conceived by the same owner and is now under construction at the McMullen & Wing shipyard in New Zealand yard.
