Police in Boston Maine USA are investigating the apparent suicide of a member of crew sailing aboard Iroquois. The 50 metre Feadship was docked at Rowes Wharf in Boston where her owner is involved with a baseball team.
The crew man, who has not been identified, was said to have been suffering a heart attack when he was found by emergency services. He was pronounced dead when their attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.
A statement from the Boston baseball team was issued. It said, “We are saddened by the news and send deepest condolences to his family.” It continued, “The crew member “apparently took his life on board the vessel,” adding that only the yachts crew were ones on board at the time of the incident
