The 55 metre Engelberg is Christened

Attended by over 400 of those involved in her creation including her designers, engineers, project managers and her interior design team from Enea, this 55 metre superyacht was Christened Engelberg in traditional style by her proud Owners on 16th May in Holland.

Greeted by a fanfare of trumpets on arrival the Owners’ party then met with their guests before moving to the Christening platform to formally name their beautiful yacht with the traditional blessing and smashing champagne across the bow.
Speeches were then made by a member of the Owning family, Rob Luijendijk, the commercial manager of the shipyard and Jeroen Minnema the Owner’s representative from Ocean Independence on behalf of their commercial and project management teams.

Designed by Tim Heywood, Engelberg is on schedule for her delivery to her Owner at the end of May 2013, with Captain Steve Riley and crew preparing to set sail for a fun-filled summer season in the Med.
