Big bash parties are all the rage at top boat shows. Organisers are always keen to make sure the big money gets to attend them. The trouble comes when major events clash.
Dilute the guest list and you dilute the cash!
No a united effort has resulted in notable changes to the events line up at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show (FLIBS)
The ISS, MIASF, Show Management, Sea Keepers & SYBAss have got together and sorted it all out so nothing clashes.
Carlos Vidueira, acting Executive Director of MIASF, the owner of FLIBS, comments, “ISS, SYBAss, MIASF, Sea Keepers and Show Management are working cooperatively on a variety of initiatives for the benefit of our combined members, customers and stakeholders. Today, we are pleased to announce a realignment of key FLIBS events in a manner that better serves the needs of our industry.”
The changes are as follows:
- ISS Annual Gala for Design & Leadership is now on Wednesday, October 30 from 7:00 pm at the DCOTA. It was formerly on the Thursday evening
- SYBAss Florida Sunset Event is part of ‘The Super Yacht Experience’ and is now on Thursday, October 31 from 6:00-9:00 pm where in the past it took place on the Wednesday evening
- The money raising Sea Keepers Founders Dinner is now on Thursday, October 31 from 7:00-10:00 pm at Lauderdale Yacht Club and was formerly held on the Wednesday evening.
To me that still looks like a clash but then again we don’t get invitations to any of them so it will not affect us!
