Original Yachting Pages team-player jumps back aboard

Jo and her son Ethan

Just as it has been announced that we have both joined the editorial board of the Super Yacht Owners’ Guide (SYOG) having been appointed as senior contributing editors for the 2013–2014  edition, so one of Yachting Pages’ longest serving staff members has rejoined the team following a career break.
Joanna Palmer (formerly Lowe) has now hit the ground running as the company’s new marketing projects manager.
Joanna was with Yachting Pages for seven years from its humble beginnings on the French Riviera, working alongside owner-director Steve Crowe.  She worked on the ground and behind the scenes, developing the business from a two-person operation to a busy office of over 30 staff.
Joanna spent three years in Cannes and knows key super yacht hubs inside out.  She said, “It is great to see how well the company has continued to grow in the two years I took out to bring up my son. Steve should be really proud of what Yachting Pages has become.
“Many loyal customers still work with Yachting Pages, which is a real testament to its success. I’m really looking forward to working part-time, on the many exciting new projects we have in the pipeline, as well as revisiting the shows and re-acquainting myself with our customers on the Riviera.”
Jo met Her Majesty the Queen, when she was with Yachting Pages in 2009.  That was the year it won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade. The award was made in recognition of the company’s innovative and market-leading global hand-distribution network, which continues to give the company stand-out over its competitors.
Jo arrives at an exciting time for the business, which celebrates its tenth annual edition this year. The company focus now shifts to this year’s Super YachtOwners’ Guide.  This prestigious hardback book will launch at the Monaco Yacht Show in September.  Over the last five editions the book has become an essential industry reference tool. 10,000 copies are distributed annually to:
  • Super Yacht Owners
  • Yacht Management Companies
  • Shipyards
  • Naval architects
  • Wealth managers
  • Yacht designers
  • Charter companies
  • and the potential superyacht owners of tomorrow: charter guests

Jo will also focus on Yachting Pages Delivers, a leading hand-delivery service to superyachts, marinas and ports on the French and Italian coasts.
