The new automated digital dosing unit premiered by GO2 Global Yachting at the Monaco Yacht Show show generated a lot of interest.
Now the company plans to attend the Fort Lauderdale Boat show which opens next week.
GO2 is a nanotechnology-based diesel fuel additive which, when added to diesel fuel, reduces fuel consumption by 8 to 14%, particulate matter (soot) by up to 40%, and unburned hydrocarbons (fuel odour) by up to 70%. The nanoparticles in GO2 act as oxygen couriers by contributing and redistributing oxygen in the combustion chamber, while also accelerating the rate of combustion. In doing this, a faster, more powerful and more complete burn occurs which requires less fuel for the same work output required of the engine.
Through this process, GO2 reverses the effects of carbon build-up on the cylinder wall, while simultaneously decreasing CO2, unburned hydrocarbons, and particulate matter (soot) produced during normal operation.
“Although GO2 can easily be added manually to fuel during bunkering, we recognised that for yachts taking large amounts of fuel we needed to automate the process.
The new dosing unit makes it as simple as connecting the hoses, powering up and pressing a button. From the successful reaction and launch of the dosing system in Monaco we look forward to showing customers the system in Fort Lauderdale” commented Richard Franklin.
GO2 Global Yachting’s next stop (after a quick detour to Palma for the Pinmar Golf Tournament) will be the Fort Lauderdale International Boat show, where we’ll be launching the new 1 US gallon and 4 litre containers, which will be available for sale from the first day of the show.
These new smaller containers, which will be priced at $620 in the US for the 1 gallon and €560 in Europe for the 4 litre size, will dose 4,000 US gallons or 16,000 litres of fuel respectively, and will come complete with a finely graduated measure, making it easy for users needing to dose smaller amounts of fuel accurately.
Orders for the new 1 US gallon and 4 litre containers can be placed on the GO2 Global Yachting website as from today.
“From the successful reaction and launch of the dosing system in Monaco we look forward to introducing the system at the Fort Lauderdale boat show” commented Richard Franklin.
GO2 Global yachting will be in the Yacht Builders & Designers tent on Stand 678 at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat show, as part of the US Superyacht Association pavilion.
