Back in April of this year we broke the news that US based brokers Moran Ship & Yacht had signed order with a yard in The Netherlands to build a yacht over 100 metres.
When completed the yacht will be the largest ever constructed in Holland
Now it has been confirmed that the 108 metre yacht formerly known as Black Pearl will be a sailing yacht and built by Oceanco.
Several superyacht Web sites have reported that the yacht is now to be named Solar and that it will feature a dyna rig the first of the type since it featured on board Maltese Falcon
The Web site reports that the yacht will be the most revolutionary vessel ever built suggesting that it is set to feature a unique array of Green technologies highlighted by the ability to operate entirely on solar power.
The brokers have stated that the yacht is due for delivery in 2015.
