Portable Digital Fuel Dosing System to Unveil at Monaco Yacht Show

GO2 a nanotechnology-based diesel fuel additive which, when added to diesel fuel, reduces fuel consumption, soot and fuel odour
Is to unveil a portable digital dosing system for the first time at this years Monaco Yacht Show
The dockside unit, which is connected into the bunker line using standard camlock connections, enables users to achieve dosing at the required rate of 1:4000 at the press of a button. An alternative design allowing permanent engine room installation will also be available.
Dosing fuel with GO2 is said to reduced fuel consumption by 8 to 14%, particulate matter (soot) by up to 40%, and unburned hydrocarbons (fuel odour) by up to 70%.
The nanoparticles in GO2 act as oxygen couriers by contributing and redistributing oxygen in the combustion chamber, while also accelerating the rate of combustion. In doing this, a faster, more powerful and more complete burn occurs which requires less fuel for the same work output required of the engine.
Through this process, the effects of carbon build-up on the cylinder wall, are reversed while the CO2 is simultaneously decreased, as are unburned hydrocarbons, and particulate matter (soot) produced during normal operation.
“This new dosing system makes dosing your diesel as simple as connecting up the camlocks and turning on the power. We believe that this system is going to make it even easier for existing and future users to take advantage of the proven fuel economy and soot reduction benefits,” commented Richard Franklin, Managing Director of GO2 Global Yachting.
