Y.CO has announced it is to support of the Blue Marine Foundation as the next step in the company’s growing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.
The brokerage house is aware of its connection with the marine world and this means that Blue, whose mission is to solve the crisis in our oceans, is a fitting partner.
It is the aim of Blue to increase the percentage of protected ocean from the current 1.2% to 10% over the next decade.
Y.CO have said they will support Blue with an annual donation as well as educating and raising awareness of the cause to their clients, crew and industry partners.
Blue was set up in 2010 by the team behind award-winning film ‘The End of the Line’ – Charles Clover, George Duffield and Chris Gorell Barnes.
