Reports are coming in of a superyacht that has exploded off the coast of New Jersey in the USA. Passengers and crew totalling 21 are said to have been pulled from the water with 9 suffering from serious burns.
US Coast Guard officials are on record as saying at the time of rescue no wreckage of the yacht was found. Another has stated that it is considered that the fact that no wreckage was fund at the sight of the rescue is pretty unusal.
Some reports have indicated that the missing yacht was called Blind Date a fairly commonly used name. The yacht builder Trinity Yachts was quick to issue a statement that the distressed vessel was not the Blind Date built by them.
