Who is she?
70m Sherakhan, a timeless design from 1966 – fully rebuilt in 2004 – offering13 bespoke cabins accommodating up to 26 guests.  With a cruising range of 3,500 nautical miles, she is a go-anywhere explorer, ready to take on the world.
Where is she chartering?
Antartica and South America during winter 2012-13

Her schedule is:

  • October; departure the Netherland to the Caribbean
  • November; arrival Caribbean
  • January and February; booked charter in Antarctica
  • March; South America, Antarctica or Caribbean
  • April; South America or Caribbean
Why is she special?
The emphasis is on unique wildlife encounters, exploring pristine landscapes, visiting sites of historical interest and finding great sites for landings and other activities like kayaking and, upon request Polar Snorkelling and Polar Diving. However this is an expedition-cruise in style! The actual program will vary to take best advantage of local conditions, spontaneous opportunities and wildlife. No two voyages will be the same; there is always an element of the unexpected. The only thing that is constant is the base of the expedition; Motor Yacht Sherakhan; wonderful surprises.

For the Polar area trips Sherakhan supplies expedition clothes and Burberry boots together with English speaking guides and ice pilots.
