We were met at the Westminster Hotel by the Captain of Renaissance and were driven to Chatillion sur Loire to board the barge.
We were greeted aboard the spacious Renaissance with a Champagne Welcome and a pleasing smile from all our crew.
That afternoon we cruised to Briare crossing high above the River Loire sailing inside Gustave Eiffel’s magical aqueduct, an amazing 10,000 ton, 662 metre Pont Canal, which was completed in September 1896.
Our first dinner on board was a gastronomic delight and an indicator into what lies ahead of us. Fine wines exotic cheese boards and delightful desserts are all very much to superyacht standard.
