Where is She Chartering?

Why is She Special?
Si Datu Bua is an inspired replica of the famed Indonesian trading vessels known as “Phinisi”. She is hand crafted from carefully selected raw materials, her 40 metre overall length embodies the spirit and soul of south east Asia. The design of her interiors is drawn from the rich cultural heritage and traditions of the island of Sulawesi with exquisite attention to detail. Six guests in two Master Staterooms and one Double Guest Cabin are looked after by a crew of 11.

Specially  selected old coins from all corners of the Indonesian archipelago were ceremoniously placed under the mast before it was raised and at the mast stepping ceremony, owner Patti Seery, the six Konjo master boat builders and the Seery Yacht Design team, each carved and burnt their initials into the wood.

Following ancient tradition, the name Si Datu Bua was bestowed during a binding ceremony similar to that of the birth of a child, and wood shavings which are considered to be the twin soul of the boat, were also carefully collected from the ironwood hull and have the power to mystically protect the boat, her owner and all those who sail abroad.
