BroadBEAM Customers Can Access Marine VSAT services Using iPhone

Specialist in networking and communication solutions for the marine industry OmniAccess, has launched a new web based Customer Service Portal (CSP) and an iCSP, the world’s first iPhone App to allow its BroadBEAM customers to access useful information about their marine VSAT services at any time and location around the world via a mobile device.

The portal, which was developed by the in-house technical team, offers a broad range of functions, statistics, documentation, manuals and support operations within an easy-to-use real-time web portal.

One of the key benefits to superyacht Captains and engineers is that there is now no need for them to be on-board the vessel in order to monitor the VSAT system, providing greater flexibility as well as time and cost savings. It is also possible to detect and escalate any problems, and to see an historic overview of the account.

From a single dashboard within the secure password-protected portal, customers can use the new CSP to check the current status of their VSAT equipment, the yacht internet connection state and bandwidth usage per vessel or fleet, as well as a host of additional information such as the vessel position. They can also access support tickets and manuals/helpdesk information, or contact the Technical Support team.

The new CSP and iCSP services are included free of charge with any OmniAccess BroadBEAM service subscription. The iCSP can be purchased via the AppStore at http://itunes.com/apps/icsp for $0.99.
