Vava II at 96 metres the largest private motor yacht ever constructed in Britain, is undergoing sea trials off Plymouth.

The three day programme of sea trials will take place over the next week after which the yacht will return inside the build shed at the Royal Dockyard where she is being built.

Said to be owned by Swiss pharmaceutical magnate, and America’s Cup winner Ernesto Bertarelli the superyacht is expected to be handed over to him in February once fully completed by the Dockyard.

Known originally as Project-55 her hull was built in Appledore.  It was towed to the Royal Dockyard where the shipyard began to fit her out.
