Chris-Craft Hits the Big Screen in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1

Lovers of both the movies and of high speed yachts were in for a treat when The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 opened in Cinemas recently.

A limited edition Chris-CraftSilver Bullet is among the stars of the silver screen in the first of The Twilight Saga series.

Even though most vampires fear a silver bullet, this one is a 20 foot limited edition luxury boat and was chosen for the “honeymoon” scenes between Edward Cullen (played by Robert Pattinson) and Bella Swan (played by Kristin Stewart) where they literally cruise off into matrimonial bliss to the Cullen family’s private island off the Brazilian coast.

The boat was shipped from Chris-Craft’s Sarasota manufacturing facility to Brazil for the first scenes with an additional Silver Bullet sent to Vancouver, British Columbia for additional scenes.

Available with optional 300 horse Mercury or Volvo engines, it’s capable of speeds in excess of 60mph and comes in any colour, as long as it’s silver.

Production of the Silver Bullet is limited to 150 and available for world-wide distribution.
The original boat used in the movie is now in Connecticut and offered for sale by private party.  The Twilight Saga is based on a book series by Stephanie Meyer.
