An End for Chafing of Mooring Ropes

Chafing and rubbing from mooring lines, sheets, halyards and fender ropes can ruin the appearance of your boat and cost a fortune to fix. A new to the market product No-Wear Guard stops all chafing damage on every kind of boat.
The chafe guards are the first in the world to combine the finest, most flexible marine grade stainless steel with aircraft-quality adhesive creating a product that will look great and protect your gel coat, wood or plastic for years to come.
They are designed and manufactured in the USA from polished 316 marine-grade Stainless Steel backed with a very thin layer of high-performance aeronautic adhesive developed by 3M that forms a permanent bond with any non porous surface.
The adhesive remains stable in temperatures from -40ºF to +250ºF (or -40ºC to +122ºC) so it won’t come off, even in the most extreme boating conditions.
The chafe guard is ultra-thin and highly flexible. At only 0.05mm (or 0.002in) it’s half as thick as the average human hair and will conform to almost any surface or contour on your boat, leaving a super-smooth, super-tough surface that can’t be damaged by rubbing ropes.
Standard size No-Wear guards are 2-inches (50mm) wide and available in either 6 or 9-inch lengths (152mm or 228mm). They can be purchased from all good boat chandlers for £9.99 and £11.99 respectively, or online.
No-Wear guards can also be cut to shape with a good pair of scissors for awkward locations and can even be made to bespoke sizes for superyachts by special request.

  1. have you considered getting a dyneema rope? it is known to be “The World’s Strongest Fibre”. It is 15 times stronger than steel wire and 8 times lighter than steel wire
