Talking recently with yacht designers at the Perini Cup we discussed how big sailing boats could get in the future. Everyone agreed that one limiting factor was the bridge that spans the Panama Canal.
But then The Old Salt Blog (always worth watching) posted this video showing how one 24 metre mast was manoeuvred underneath a bridge whose overall height clearance was just 19.8 metres.
