In the first half of year the crew agency The Crew Network witnessed an increasing demand for senior crew as an unusually high number of crew placement requests by superyacht owners in Mexico & Brazil where there seems to be a tangible realisation amongst these clients that a top crew provides top service, provides a better experience for charter guests and maintains the value of their asset.
There is now a significant level of demand for highly qualified and experienced senior crew members to serve onboard yachts owned by clients from Central and South America.
Superyacht crew salaries are now lower than a few years ago, but the more senior crew can still command significant remuneration packages in recognition of their qualifications and responsibilities.
