He adds, with his fingers firmly crossed, “The summer season is well underway and the majority of yachting professionals are very encouraged hoping that things continue to improve as they have done steadily over the first six months of 2011.
Charter bookings are up on the previous three years, the demand for yacht management and crew placements has strengthened considerably since 2010 and clients are once again signing up to new build projects.
Sales are still relatively slow and there is an over-supply of charter yachts, but on the whole things are looking much better.”
