Started in 2008 and now just three months away from delivery to her new owners a 43 Discovery Yacht has been launched by the French shipyard JFA.
As yet unnamed despite being launched hull number 22C, designed by Vripack in the Netherlands, is built out of aluminium.
Developed for cruising in remote destinations, her fore deck has been left clear in order to host 2 large 5.6m tenders that will be used for exploration by her owners.
The inside layout is divided in 3 decks. The main deck has a huge Saloon / dining room with large windows. The upper deck houses the wheelhouse, the captain’s cabin and a library saloon.
Both these decks have an aft outside saloon. The lower deck offers 4 double guest cabins, the master cabin and the crew quarters. The total inside layout area reaches no less than 340m2 and can accommodate 11 guest and 8 crew members.
Built to class with Bureau Veritas in compliance with the MCA LY2 rules she is equipped with two 750 Hp Cummins engines and three gensets.
Her range at 11 knots is transatlantic at 11 knots and the engine room takes up the whole width of the boat in the after part.
