Packing a Vericor TF50 gas turbine that will give her speeds of 52 knots a new 35 metre MY Pershing 115, flagship of the Pershing fleet and part of the Ferretti Group has been launched at Marina dei Cesari in Fano Italy.
The official launching ceremony was carried out in the presence of the company management, the ship owner’s representative and the main local authorities.
The superyacht is powered by two diesel MTUs that output 7400 hp through two Kamewa Rolls Royce water-jet propulsors giving the yacht a turn of speed of around 38 knots. Add to that the gas turbine, one typically used in the aeronautical industry, and the yacht develops an extra 5100 hp, to drive central water-jet propulsion. Its use requires specific accessories and mechanical parts and technologies that are integrated within the system which includes, for example, the titanium drain, the axis and the reducer.
