Dixon Yacht Designs has unveiled its latest creation for Johnson Yachts
The 125, at 38 metres, brings Johnson into the superyacht arena not just because of its internal volume, but because of the features that Bill Dixon and his team have been able to find room for. Most notable is the split-level owners suite, a feature which is believed to be a first on a yacht of this size. And what an owners suite; an office, dressing room and bathroom on the lower level and steps up to the bedroom which, as it is located at deck level, provides its occupants with panoramic views.
Every other area of the 125 is spacious, from the huge main saloon with its separate dining and lounge areas to the four guest cabins, two of which have VIP status, and together can sleep eight guests. There is plenty of space also for the crew of 8, and another unusual feature on a yacht of this size; the crew can gain access to any deck directly from their own quarters.
The yacht has several open deck areas, some public, some private, and dining is possible on no less than three decks depending on the formality of the occasion and the size of the party. The largest open deck area is the flybridge, which features a Jacuzzi and sun pads with a bimini extending over an informal relaxing area. There is also plenty of room in the large tender garage capable of holding a significant number of water ‘toys’, as well as the yachts tender.
Depending on the choice of engines the new Johnson 125 is capable of a top speed of 24 knots and cruises comfortably at 20.
