Superyacht Shippers set up Global Alliance

PSP create new global boat transportation alliance

Seeking to strengthen its position as a yacht transportation company within an already crowded market, PSP (Premier Shipping & Packing) chose this year’s London Boat Show to announce the formation of a new global boat transportation alliance.

In a bid to give customers an “ever-improving, seamless global service” the company seeks to run its own sailings, services and charters and become less dependent on shipping companies who tend to make ships available for yacht transportation only when the freight market is slack.

PSP have hand picked affiliates from companies in Antigua, Australasia, China, Dubai, Germany, India, Italy, South Africa, Spain and the USA each chosen specifically by their presence in the boatbuilding and marina industries, and because they are tried and tested.

Managing director Frank Dixie said, “We are lean, innovative and hungry for business and our company has taken the marine sector by storm in the last two years. I see a massive future for us responding to demand, which has been crying out for a modern, customer-focused attitude. The launch of our worldwide boat transportation alliance shows how serious we are and will enable us to control our services, rather than being controlled by the shipping lines.”

Founded in 1998, PSP is headquartered in Great Britain, with a network of offices and agents around the world. Last year, became the first-ever title sponsor of the PSP Southampton Boat Show
