Italian super yacht builder Perini Navi has launched the 56m aluminium ketch Riela their 46th unit to be launched.
Designed by in-house naval architects together with Ron Holland, Riela, boasts an ultra-light aluminium hull with maximum displacement optimized at 545 tons.
Both masts, the 58.8m main mast and the 48.26m mizzen, are also in aluminium, while the furling boom is in carbon fibre. Total sail area is expected to reach 1,500 m².
The interiors, designed by Remi Tessier, are in a contemporary style, and uses woods such as macassar, ebony, wengè, and teak together with leather.
Riela is the seventh of the 56m sailing yachts to be launched by the yard launched. The first 56m, in 2003 was Burrasca, followed by:
